WISDOM is all around us.

Is anybody here except Allah, God, Brahman, Tao, Universal Consciousness... ?
If there is only God (all being and non-being) then God is always present and the only one present.
(An interesting question to ponder.)

The containers may look different, but when they break the water that spills is the same.

Patience is the lesson I had given to me from the moment I stepped on the earth; ever since I have tried to practice it, but there is more to be learnt.
Hazrat Inayat Khan

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.
1 Corinthians 13

The alien living with you must be treated as one of your native-born. Love him as yourself, for you were aliens in Egypt. I am the LORD your God.
Leviticus 19

A human being is part of the whole called by us
"universe," a part limited in time and space.
We experience ourselves, our thoughts, and feelings as
something separate from the rest.
A kind of optical delusion of consciousness.
This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting
us to our personal desires and to affection for
a few persons nearest to us.
Our task must be to free ourselves from the prison
by widening our circle of compassion to embrace
all living creatures and the whole of nature in all
of its beauty...
We shall require a substantially new manner of thinking
if humankind is to
survive.

Albert Einstein

"Until he extends his circle of compassion to include all living things,
man will not himself find peace."
Albert Schweitzer

"The world is my country, all mankind are my brethren,
and to do good is my religion."
Thomas Paine

God gives the things of this earth a certain color and variety and value, causing childish folk to argue over it.
When a piece of dough is baked in the shape of a camel or lion these children bite their fingers excitedly in their greed.
Both lion and camel turn to bread in the mouth, but it’s futile to tell this to children

Rumi, Mathnawi VI, 4717-19

If you are irritated by every rub,

how will your mirror be polished?
Rumi, Mathnawi I, 2980

“ When “I” and “You” are absent,

I’ve no idea if this is a mosque

synagogue, church, or temple.”
Mahmud Shabistari

Human beings are
soft and supple when alive,
stiff and straight when dead.

The myraid creatures, the grasses and trees are
soft and fragile when alive,
dry and whithered when dead.

Therefore, it is said:
The rigid person is a disciple of death;
The soft, supple, and delicate are lovers of life.

An army that is inflexible will not conquer;
A tree that is inflexible will snap.
The unyielding and mighty shall be brought low;
The soft, supple, and delicate will be set above.

Tao Te Ching (76)

“ The truly sincere act is the one that is unknown
to any recording angel.
has no demon to oppose it,
and no self to take pride in it.”

WAGE PEACE
poem by Judyth Hill

The Persian Poet and Mystic Hafiz touches the soul as if
he wrote just to you.

To injure an opponent is to injure yourself.

To control aggression without inflicting injury is the Art of Peace.

Morihei Ueshiba

"I, You, He, She, We..
In the Garden of Mystical Lovers these are not true distinctions."
Rumi (C. Barks)
